LECA insulation fill

LECA Insulation Fill is an energy-saving, expanded clay aggregate lightweight insulation fill that can be used on most floors prior to the laying of a concrete slab. It replaces traditional hardcore and insulation and can be used when building extensions, conservatories, garages, driveways and patios and also for refurbishment projects.

Loose material is used to level out the sub-floor, with the bags of LECA laid on top. The bags are placed side by side, until the entire floor is covered. Once at the required depth, loose material is used to fill in any gaps between the bags before levelling off. A 1200 gauge damp proof membrane is placed over the insulation fill and the floor is then ready for the concrete slab. This lightweight and innovative product saves both time and money and is quick, easy and safe to install. Made from natural raw materials, it is an environmentally friendly product and is chemically neutral, making it safe to handle. It also complies with BRE Certificate 052/98.
